i like it. it's not saying everything's ok on the beach or in the water. it's showing the other things that can be done in the area, regardless of what the beaches are like. in other words, there is more to pensacola than just sand and water.
what about it hits you wrong, linda? i guess you can say it's frivolous, or making light of the situation, but i think it's more of a "life goes on despite the oil" attitude.

Hmmmm not sure the oil clean up outfits were necessary. It makes it appear as though the BP clean up crews are just down there goofing off maybe.
Otherwise I think the message is good in that there is still a world of stuff to do down there. The entire town is not dripping with oil.
During the great flood of '93 I talked to people who thought the entire downtown St Louis and surrounding areas were flooded when that was not the case at all. And from the news coverage of Pensacola I imagine a lot of people think the entire city is one big tar ball.

Probably is the goofy workers taking time to see the sights. It's a mixed message for me. Seems to take the serious side away from the disaster. Maybe it would have been better to have a family, college kids, etc to tour the town and still give the message that there are things that Pensacola offers.

Silly but at least they aren't putting out the lie so many of the commercials we have been getting on our tv stations say: come on down to FL the beaches are fine.
